Laid-off police cadet arrested after shooting at Marina

A laid-off Cleveland police cadet arrested for firing his gun at the East 55th Marina.

It happened on Saturday, July 16th.

Officers say 33-year-old David Bell was at the state park property with his girlfriend, her mom and another couple.

Bell and his girlfriend began fighting, and Robert Lloyd tried break it up.

They both punched each other, and Bell was knocked out.

When he regained consciousness several minutes later, Bell allegedly grabbed his gun and fired six shots at Lloyd's mini van.

Two of the shots hit the van, but nobody was injured.

Police confiscated Bell's gun, his CPD badge and his special deputy ID badge.

Bell was arraigned Tuesday morning. The judge set bond at $20K dollars.
