Judgement day for former youth pastor who sexually assaulted teens

Judgement day for a former youth pastor at a Parma Heights church.

Joshua O'Bannion was sentenced to 15 years behind bars.

Between January 2008 and December 2008, O'Bannion, then 24, sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl who attended the church. The assault occurred in and outside of the church. The victims disclosed to Parma police after O'Bannion was arrested in Chandler, Arizona on September 9, 2009, for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.

At the time of arrest, O'Bannion was working as a youth pastor at a church in Tempe, Arizona; the 14-year-old victim attended the church in Arizona.

On June 13th, O'Bannion pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual battery and three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

O'Bannion will be required to register as a Tier III Sexual Offender.
