According to a report out of England, Tiger Woods will make his much anticipated return to golf at the Bridgestone Invitational at Akron's Firestone Country Club next weekend.
The Guardian, says Woods wants to make his return before the last major of the season, The PGA Championship. That tournament is the week after the Bridgestone.
Woods has not played since May because of knee and achilles tendon injuries.
He has always played well in Akron, winning the event seven times. He has until Friday at 5 p.m. to enter the tournament at Firestone.
This week, Woods fell out of the Top 20 of the world rankings for the first time since 1997.
