CANTON, OH (WOIO) - Residents in Canton are on high alert after a second rape has been reported in as many days.
Canton Police tell 19 Action News that a woman reported being raped by a male hiding in the backseat of her car early Wednesday morning.
The sexual assault happened around 1:30AM Wednesday in the 3800 block of 33rd Street NE. The victim told police the man grabbed her by the throat, pulled her into the back seat and raped her.
The attacker is described as a black man, about 150 pounds with a mustache. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a gold rope chain with a cross.
Canton Police do not believe Wednesday's rape suspect is the same thug sought in the armed kidnapping of another woman in the city. That attack happened around 5:30AM Monday morning in the 2900 block of Coventry Boulevard NE.
