Tiger Woods announced Thursday night that he will make his return to golf next week at the Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron.
On his Twitter account, Woods wrote, "Woods says he's "feeling fit and ready to tee it up at Firestone next week. Excited to get back out there!"
Woods has been sidelined for the last 11 weeks because of injuries to his left knee and achilles'. It's the third-longest layoff of his career. He'll also have a new caddie carrying his bag. Woods fired his longtime caddie Steve Williams last week.
He's won the event in Akron seven times, most recently in 2009.
