Gang member sought after assault at Cleveland Park

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Kindell Smith.

Smith is wanted by the U.S. Marshals, and the Cleveland Police Department on charges of felonious assault shooting. On July 3rd, Smith was allegedly involved in an altercation which took place in Tromba Park. Smith, along with six other suspects, started a fight on the basketball courts and severely assaulted a male victim. During the course of the fight, shots were fired presumably by Smith. Other suspects involved in the altercation have been arrested however Smith is still at large. Smith is known to carry firearms specifically a 9MM handgun, and is considered armed and dangerous. Smith's criminal history is significant and includes many acts of violence.

Smith is a 21-year-old black male standing approximately 5'11", and weighing 185 pounds. He has black hair and has brown eyes. Smith is a known "8th Avenue" gang member. Smith has numerous tattoos located on his back, chest, neck and both arms. Smith has numerous family members and associates throughout the Cleveland area. Smith has previously resided on the 1300 block of E.185th Street in Cleveland. Smith is known to frequent the area surrounding St. Clair Avenue and Nottingham Road.
