Thug opens fire inside Akron home, narrowly misses sleeping child

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

A thug tossed in jail after opening fire inside an Akron home, narrowly missing a small child sleeping in a bedroom.

Jason T. Harden was charged with Tampering with Evidence, Weapons under Disability, Child Endangering, Discharging Firearm into an Occupied Structure and Drug Abuse.

Cops were called to the area of Hazel Street and N. Adams Street for shots fired.

Harden was found at 45 Ames Court along with a bag of bullets in plain view in the living room. Officers were advised that there was a small child in the home. The child checked ok, but officers found multiple bullet holes in the bedroom where the child was sleeping. Two bullet slugs were on the flood in the child's bedroom.

The homeowner returned home and gave the officer consent to search to look for the gun, which was found in the living room.

A baggie of crack was also found in the kitchen.
