The Browns acquired offensive lineman John Greco from the St. Louis Rams for an undisclosed 2012 draft choice.

In addition, the club re-signed unrestricted free agent defensive lineman Jayme Mitchell.

Originally selected by the Rams in the third round (65th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft, Greco has seen action in 26 games with four starts in his career.  He saw his most extensive playing time in 2009, when he appeared in a career-high 11 games with three starts, and was part of an offensive line that helped running back Steven Jackson rank second in the NFC with 1,738 scrimmage yards.

A four-year letterman at the University of Toledo (2004-07), Greco was a three-time All-Mid-American Conference selection, earning the honor in each of this final three seasons.  During his collegiate career, he started 49 consecutive games, including his final 36 at left tackle.

Last season, Mitchell was acquired by the Browns via trade with the Minnesota Vikings on October 5.  He appeared in two games with Minnesota, recorded a sack in the opener, and was inactive for all 12 games as a member of the Browns' 53-man roster.

Originally signed by Minnesota as an undrafted free agent in 2006, Mitchell has appeared in 29 regular season contests in his career, recording 29 tackles and five sacks.
