O'Jays "Love Train" rolls through northeast Ohio

CANTON, OH (WOIO) -

The O'Jays "Love Train" pulled out the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad Station in Canton on Friday to kick off of the O'Jays Scholarship Celebration Weekend. 

Among the 240 passengers; The Strictly Business band, Mo'Nique, Earvin "Magic " Johnson, Mike Tyson, and Dr. Bobby Jones.

After arriving at the Brecksville Station the passengers boarded busses and headed to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame where Mo'Nique was the evening host. 

After hearing performances by by Christopher Cross and the O'Jays themselves everyone called it a night for Saturday's scholarship benefit concert featuring, Patti LaBelle, Eric Benet and Johnny Gill.

That event is scheduled to kick off at 8 at Fawcett Stadium in Canton.

Since its 2006 beginning, the O'Jays has awarded $52,000 in scholarships.
