Man shot at Glenville Plaza Monday afternoon, suspect on the run

Cleveland Police and EMS were called to Glenville Plaza on St. Clair Monday afternoon after a man walked into a store there saying he'd been shot.

Witnesses tell 19 Action News they don't know why the man had been shot, they say he was covered in blood and pleading with them to call for help.

Once on scene Fifth District officers located the Rodrick Brothers, 28, with gunshot wounds to the right hand and right thigh. EMS was notified, responded to the scene and they rushed him to MetroHealth Medical Center.

While on scene the officers were informed that Brothers was selling shoes on the sidewalk at the above location when he was approach by the suspect a black male wearing all black.

The suspect stated to the victim "You know what this is." and produced a handgun. Brothers then grabbed the suspect and a struggle ensued. During the struggle the suspect fired one shot going through Brother's hand and into his thigh. After shooting Brothers the suspect fled southbound on E.103rd Street.
