Cleveland Police look for help identifying rape suspect

Cleveland Police have released this sketch of a rape suspect in hopes that the public can help them locate him.

The attack happened back in December of 2010 in the area of E. 79th and Kinsman Avenue on Cleveland's east side.

The man had a black semiautomatic pistol on him at the time of the rape and fled through the Garden Valley Apartments.

He's described as a black male in his late 30s or early 40s with dark complexion and a scar or scratches on his cheek.  He's 6' 1", medium build, black hair and brown eyes.  At the time of the attack he had a black bears with a gray patch.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cleveland Police Sex Crimes and Child Abuse unit at 216-623-5630.  Anonymous information can be given to Crime Stoppers by calling 216-252-7463 or by text messaging a tip to TIP657 plus your message to Crimes (274637).  Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and you can remain anonymous.
