Matt LaPorta hit a two-run homer and Kosuke Fukudome had an RBI triple to lead the Indians to a 4-2 win over the White Sox.
Sox starter Philip Humber was knocked out of the game in the second inning when Fukudome hit a line drive off Humber's forehead. Humber would get up and walk off the field under his own power.
Justin Masterson went six innings giving up two runs while striking out 2 to get the win.
With the win, the Indians are now only 1.5 games in back of the American League leading Detroit Tigers. The Tribe and Tigers play a big three-game series this weekend.
Also, after the game the Indians announced second baseman Jason Kipnis will head to the disabled list.
