16-year-old pulled from Cuyahoga River dies

CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH (WOIO) - A 16-year-old boy drowned in the Cuyahoga River on Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 4PM near the Doodleburg Burdge on Bailey Road near Front Street.

Davion McCail was swimming with a friend when he started to struggle and went under.

After approximately 30 to 40 minutes, Davion was pulled from the river by Summit County dive team members and was transported to Summa Western Reserve Hospital where he later died at 5:26PM.

An autopsy is scheduled.
