Police seek public's help in locating suspect wanted in three sexual assaults

Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Detectives with Cleveland Police are continuing their search for a man wanted for the sexual assault of an 18 year old female in December 2010 to two other violent rapes, one resulting in a homicide.
Cops say the big identifier is the large scar on his face.  
Through the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) the suspect's DNA was linked to two other cold case investigations a 1996 Rape Felonious Assault Shooting and a 1997 Homicide/Rape. The 1996 Rape occurred in the early morning hours on May 3, at Union Avenue & East 88th Street. The 1997 Homicide/Rape occurred on the morning of February 2, in the 3000 block of E. 88th Street.

In the 2010 sexual assault the suspect was described as a black male, late thirties/early forties, 5'6", medium build, dark complexion, black beard with a gray patch and a scar or scratches on his cheek. In the 1996 sexual assault the suspect was described as a black male, twenties, 5'7", 140-150 lbs, and dark complexion. At the time of the December, 2010, and February, 1996, sexual assaults the suspect was in possession of a handgun.

Anyone with information on the possible identity of this suspect is asked to call the Cleveland Division of Police Sex Crimes /Child Abuse Unit at 216.623.5630.
