Lane reopens after Pepper Pike oil spill

PEPPER PIKE, OH (WOIO) - The right lane of I-271 northbound just before the Brainard/Cedar exit is back open to traffic following clean-up after an oil spill.

However, the shoulder will remain closed in the area until further notice as Ohio Environmental Protection Agency crews perform clean-up operations.

OEPA crews are expected to return to the area to resume clean-up efforts Tuesday morning.

It was reported that a tanker truck spilled the oil Monday. The type of oil is unknown.

No one was injured.
