OHIO (WOIO) - Ohio State Highway Patrol cruisers will soon be getting new light panels. Officials with the highway patrol said that the typical red and blue lights that you're used to seeing will be going away.
The new lightbars will be purely blue and white lights, in an effort to decrease the number of situations such as an officer getting struck by a vehicle.
Officials with the highway patrol said the state mandated the order to replace all light bars early this year. The new lights will give officers out on the road more safety, especially at night.
