Couple arrested in Akron shooting

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred around 2:30AM Wednesday morning in the parking lot at 636 North Main Street.

The victim, 24-year-old Deangelo Dent, was shot in the abdomen following an argument. Dent was transported to Akron City Hospital where his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

Detectives and officers, following up on information, located the suspect, 23-year-old Darius M. Brown, at his girlfriend's house around 4:30AM.

The girlfriend, 22-year-old Amanda McIntosh, was also arrested. She was charged with Felonious Assault, Tampering with Evidence and Obstructing Official Business.

Brown and McIntosh were booked into the Summit County Jail.
