Akron cops investigate double shooting

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - Akron detectives are investigating a double shooting that occurred around 1AM Sunday morning in the 1000 block of Johnston Street.

The first victim, a 25-year-old man, was found lying on the ground near Johnston Street and Gibbs Place. He was shot in the torso and was transported to Akron City Hospital.

The second victim, a 16-year-old boy, was found near Johnston Street and Downing Place with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. He was transported to Akron General Medical Center.

Neither victim suffered life threatening injuries.

The suspect is a light complexioned, black male, 20 - 24 years old, 5'10" - 5'11", 145 - 160 lbs. He was wearing a red shirt and dark blue jeans.
