Indians Lose "Must Win" Game To Detroit

Ubaldo Jimenez only had one bad inning on Monday against Detroit. Unfortunately that one inning was enough to cost Cleveland the game. Former Indian Victor Martinez slammed a three-run homer off Jimenez in the 4th inning for the biggest hit of the game. Detroit beat the Indians 4-2.

Jimenez finished with seven innings, allowing only three runs. Tribe bats couldn't touch Tiger starter Doug Fister. The right-hander struck out 13 batters, allowing only one earned run over eight innings.

The Tigers move to 7.5 games up on the second place Indians.
