Tigers Complete Sweep, Tribe Now 9.5 Back

Cleveland (WOIO) - The Indians knew coming into this series that they needed to sweep the Tigers to maintain any and all hopes of a division title.  Instead, it was Detroit doing the sweeping, burying the Indians with a comeback 8-6 win at Progressive Field on Wednesday afternoon, leaving the Tribe 9.5 back in the A.L. Central.

Shelley Duncan belted a pair of two-run homers for the Tribe, twice giving them a two-run lead, but the Indians couldn't hold the lead, as former Cleveland star Victor Martinez once again killed his former team, crushing a grand slam in the 7th to put the Tigers on top to stay.
