PARMA, OH (WOIO)
The 9/11 remembrance continued in Parma Saturday. Firefighters, local representatives and members of the public showed their American pride and attended a special ceremony in honor of the 9/11 victims.
They gathered to remember those lost in the September 11th attacks.
"We remember the deeper meaning of what it is to be an American."
Dozens of people turned out for a dedication and remembrance ceremony at the Parmatown Mall. A ceremony that unveiled a piece of a steel beam from the World Trade Center rubble. A reminder of how that day, ten years ago, forever changed our lives.
Congresswoman Betty Sutton and Congressman Dennis Kucinich were among those in attendance. Both emphasizing that Saturday's service is not just about those who were taken from us during the moments of terror but those who continue to put their lives on the line each and every day.
It was a time to reflect, a time to honor and a time to say thank you to those who serve and protect us each and every day.
