Stow police bust up meth lab, remove two-year-old from home

STOW, OH (WOIO) -

Police in Stow bust up a meth lab late Monday night.

It happened just before midnight on Uniondale Drive.

After receiving an anonymous tip, cops found two men producing meth in the garage as well as throughout the home.

One of the men had a weapon in his hand and fled into the home with the apparent intent to hide the weapon from police. Officers were able to arrest both men without incident.

Cops also discovered a two-year-old child inside the home.

41-year-old Stephen Gene McKinney was charged with Illegal Manufacture of Drugs, Weapons Under Disability and Possession of Drugs. McKinney has a previous drug arrest in 1994.

38-year-old Lewis Gene Butler, Jr. was charged with Illegal Manufacture of Drugs. He has previous drug arrests in 2006, 2009 and 2010.
