Babysitter who forgot toddler inside sweltering SUV charged with reckless homicide

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - New details in the tragic death of a toddler in Akron.

19 Action News has learned charges have been filed against a daycare worker who left 13-month-old Aolani McCray inside an SUV on a hot day.

Little Aolani was left alone inside the hot vehicle for hours, and was pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital.

The babysitter, Lisa Scott, has now been charged with reckless homicide and child endangering.

This, after Scott forgot Aolani in the back of her Ford Expedition on a day the heat index reached 100 degrees.
