Prisoner who walked away from sleeping jail guard is caught September 18, 2011 at 11:13 PM EST - Updated June 25 at 11:01 AM Cleveland Cops have caught a prisoner who escaped when a guard fell asleep. Erin Eckroad was locked up back in July. A guard fell asleep and Eckroad walked right out of Southpoint Hospital. Cops found her near 71st and Broadway, the same place 19 Action News looked for her two weeks ago. The hospital told city hall that jail guard Constance Hereford fell asleep while on guard with handcuffs and a gun. She got suspended.
