Theft, credit card fraud at the Fairfield Inn

GREEN, OH (WOIO) -

The General Manager for the Fairfield Inn on Interstate Parkway within the City of Green reported unknown persons gained access to the hotel corporate credit card making over $30,000 dollars worth of unauthorized purchases in less than one month.

The Summit County Sheriff's Investigative Bureau initiated an investigation. During the investigation, it was determined that the suspects unlawfully used the corporate credit account at the Castaway Bay Hotel located in Sandusky, Ohio. The Sheriff's Office investigators contacted the Cedar Point Police Department and were assisted during the investigation by Sgt. Davidson, an investigator with the Cedar Point Police Department.

Michael McKoy and Lotoria Johnson, both from Akron and former employees of the Fairfield Inn Hotel, were identified as suspects responsible for the theft of the corporate credit card.

McKoy was ultimately found to be responsible for over $30,000 dollars worth of unauthorized purchases utilizing the Fairfield Inn's credit card account.

McKoy was located and arrested for count of felony theft and felony count of misuse of a credit card and booked into the Summit County Jail.

A warrant the Lotoria Johnson was filed through the Barberton Municipal Court for count of felony theft. She has not yet been located.
