Thug wanted in Cleveland woman's murder nabbed in Cali

Michael McGrath, Chief of the Cleveland Division of Police, announced the arrest of a man wanted on an aggravated murder warrant. The arrested man is identified as 30-year-old Charles M. Yonkings of Cleveland.

The arrest warrants was issued as the result of an investigation by the Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit.

Yonkings was arrested in connection with the homicide of 56-year-old Lynne M. Beardsley of Cleveland. The homicide occurred on Friday, August 19th on Triskett Avenue.

On Tuesday, September 27th, Yonkings was arrested in Arcata, California by the Arcata Police Department for a theft offense and was later found to be wanted in Cleveland for Aggravated Murder.

Yonkings was arrested without incident and is being held in the Humboldt County, Correctional Facility awaiting extradition.
