Violent sex offender sought after failing to register

(WOIO) - The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Larry Knox.

Knox is wanted by the U.S. Marshals, and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office on charges of failing to register as a sexual offender.  Knox was convicted in 1999 by the Lorain County Court for gross sexual imposition of a victim who was under the age of 13.  He was sentenced to 4 years in prison for that conviction.  Knox was convicted again in 2009 again in Lorain County Court for sexual imposition.  After this conviction, Knox was classified as a sexual predator.  Knox was released from prison in May of this year and was required to register with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office on a regular basis.  Since his release, Knox has not registered any address other than the local homeless shelter.  Knox has criminal histories in Ohio and Georgia.  Knox has a history of violence and should be considered dangerous.

Knox is a 52 year old black male standing approximately 5'04", and weighing 165 pounds.  He has black hair and has brown eyes.  At the present time Knox may have a shaved head.  Knox has been known to frequent the homeless shelter located at 2100 Lakeside Avenue in Cleveland.  Knox could be living anywhere in the area of Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties.
