Horseshoe Casino whittles down applicant pool, focuses on hiring table games staff

Cleveland's highly-anticipated Horseshoe Casino is looking for 500 people in their first round of hiring.

Applicants will be considered for positions for table games, poker dealers and supervisors.

4,000 of the 11,800 people who filled out applications were invited to the four-day table games interview event this week at the Q.

At the event, which only invited applicants should attend, candidates will learn more about the Horseshoe and what it takes to work table games.

The event is also designed to allow Horseshoe leadership to meet the candidates in person and begin to identify the most talented candidates for Horseshoe Cleveland table game areas.

The table games staff will be the largest single staff at the casino. These positions are being recruited first because they require the most training.

Table game staff will support Horseshow Cleveland's 63 table games and 30 table world series of poker room.

Horseshow Casino, inside the Higbee Building, is scheduled to open in March of 2012.
