43 Forum: Minorities helping minorities

(11/14/11) -  Back in 1900 Booker T. Washington challenged blacks to: "cast down your buckets where you are."

He was calling for blacks to create jobs for themselves to create wealth for themselves.

That challenge is still on the table, but here in the 21st-century minorities don't have to go it alone.

They have many programs designed to help them achieve their goals.

One of the most successful is the Northern Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council.

It helps minority businesses do business with other businesses.  My guests are here to help.

They are Alexis Clark-Amison, N-O-M-S-D-C President and Claude Booker, founder and president, Simply Southern Sides, LLC and a certified N-O-M-S-D-C, MBE.
