Cleveland (WOIO) - For the second time in five nights the Cavaliers squared off with the Pistons, and this time Detroit owned the bragging rights, closing out the preseason with a 90-89 win on Tuesday night.
Omri Casspi came off the bench to lead the Cavs with 18 points, while Kyrie Irving, the first overall pick in June's draft, scored 11 points. Tristan Thompson, the Cavs' fourth overall pick last summer, added eight points in the loss.
Austin Daye led the Pistons with 19 points.
The Cavaliers open the regular season next Monday at home against the Toronto Raptors.
