Man robbed trying to buy iPad from Craigslist

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - Akron police are investigating after a 22-year-old was robbed after he tried to buy an iPad he found on Craigslist.

The man met the potential seller of the iPad at a business on East Exchange Street. When the victim arrived at the business, two suspects robbed him. One suspect, with one hand in his pocket acting as if he had a gun, shoved the victim against his car. The suspect then threatened to shoot the victim if he didn't give up his money. The second suspect reached into the victim's pocket and took his cell phone.

The suspects fled on foot southbound before jumping into a black, Chevy Bonneville and fleeing the area.

The suspects are two men, 22 - 25 years old. The first suspect is 5'10" - 6'0, 180 - 200 lbs, stocky with a goatee and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect is 6'0" - 6'02", thin, and was wearing a black coat or hooded sweatshirt.
