Man robbed after answering ad on Craigslist

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - Akron Police are investigating after a 22 year old man was robbed when he tried to buy an iPad he found on Craigslist.

Cops say the victim met the potential seller of the iPad at a business on East Exchange Street.

When the victim arrived at the business, he says two suspects robbed him. One suspect, acting as if he had a gun, shoved the victim against his car. The suspect then threatened to shoot the victim if he didn't give up his money. The second suspect reached into the victim's pocket and took his cell phone.

The suspects fled on foot southbound before jumping into a black, Chevy Bonneville and fleeing the area.

The suspects are two men, between 22 - 25 years old. The first suspect is 5'10" - 6'0, 180 - 200 lbs, stocky with a goatee and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect is 6'0" - 6'02", thin, and was wearing a black coat or hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Akron Police.
