Suspect who broke into church also busted for arson with stolen church candles

ALLIANCE, OH (WOIO) - Alliance Police were investigating a break-in at St. Theodore's Catholic Church on December 14th, which lead officers to information on an arson on S. Mahoning Avenue.

Delbert Watson, who was already charged with Breaking and Entering and Receiving Stolen Property from the church break-in, has now also been arrested on one count of Arson.

An investigation found that Watson had allegedly entered the vacant house and intentionally set a fire using the candles he had stolen from the church.
