Kidnappers drove woman to ATM

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - A family is traumatized after a woman was kidnapped in her own driveway while her husband was waiting inside their home.

The kidnapping happened in the 200 block of North Highland Avenue around 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22.

According to Akron Police, Andrea Fleming, 44, had just returned home from donating blood at a Red Cross event when she was approached by four males armed with handguns in her garage.

The suspects brandished handguns and demanded money from Fleming. Next, they forced her into the backseat of her car and drove to an ATM where they used her bank card to withdraw $500.

The suspects then drove to an unknown location where they robbed Fleming of her jewelry then fled the scene on foot.

The suspect shown in the ATM drive-thru is a black male, 18 - 20 years old, 5'09" – 6'0, wearing a black coat, black hooded sweatshirt, and a black gray and white New York Yankees Hat.
