Rescuers pull woman from Lake Erie

Good Samaritans helped pull a woman out of Lake Erie Monday afternoon.  It happened around 1PM at Erieside near the Great Lakes Science Center.

The Coast Guard was out on the water for a drill when they got the call.  By time they arrived, she was already out of the water.

Cleveland Fire and EMS were on scene as well.  EMS transported the woman to the hospital for evaluation.

According to the Coast Guard, the woman just took off her shoes and jumped in.  The motivation behind her jump is unclear at this time.

The temperature of the water is currently 41 degrees.
