Gas Spike: Northeast Ohio gas prices up .15

Northeast Ohio gas prices have increased 15 cents as travelers continue to celebrate the yearend holidays. This week motorists paid an average of $3.303 per gallon.

According to AAA's Fuel Gauge, crude oil futures climbed above $100 per barrel today. Economic optimism and a weaker dollar have resulted in growing demand for crude oil.

Ninety-one percent of holiday travelers are driving to their yearend celebrations although nationally gas prices are almost 20 cents higher than a year ago. The national gas price today is $3.231 per gallon.
