Infant's death ruled a homicide

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has ruled the death of 6 month old Lynniah Beard a homicide. She was suffocated.

The baby's parents took her to Lakewood Hospital back on May 8, 2011 after her dad found the baby face down in the car seat barely breathing. The infant was placed on life support and died on June 21, 2011.

Dad told police at the time mom was home with the baby and he went home to check on the kids after he couldn't get anyone on the phone.

Mom told police the baby woke up around 1:30 A.M., had a bottle and went back to bed.

Cleveland police say this case is still under investigation by the homicide and so far there have been no arrests.
