Amherst man arrested for burglary

AMHERST, OH (WOIO) - A 22-year-old Amherst man arrested for burglary.

Giuliano Alicea was arrested at his Albright Terrace apartment on Wednesday.

The arrest is the result from the investigation of 11 burglaries beginning in April 16th, 2011 until the present. The arrest warrant was issued for one of the burglaries, this being the burglary of the Mrosek residence which occurred on  August 18th, 2011. 

These burglaries occurred north of the downtown area, west to North Lake St. and east to Shady Dr.  More charges are pending at this time and this investigation is continuing.

Alecia was arraigned Friday at the Oberlin Municipal Court and pleaded not guilty.  He is being held on $50,000 bond at the Lorain County Jail.

Alecia was arrested without incident.  Some stolen items were found in his home.
