Lake County Sheriff: Level 2 Snow Emergency issued for Lake County

Lake County Sheriff Daniel Dunlop has issued a Level 2 Snow Emergency for Lake County Ohio.

A level 2 snow emergency involves a roadway warning.

Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Only those who feel it's necessary to drive should be out on the roadways.

The Sheriff's Department recommends contacting your employer Saturday  to see if you should report to work.

Saturday, Ashtabula received five new inches of snow and Madison received approximately nine inches.

At one point, snow was coming down one half inch an hour.
