Wednesday night was a rough night for both Kent State and Akron, as both the Golden Flashes and Zips were routed on the road.
KSU couldn't keep up with Ohio University, as the Bobcats turned it on in the second half and rolled to an 87-65 win. Walter Offutt led the Bobcats with a game-high 19 points, while D.J. Cooper added 18 for OU. Chris Evans came off the bench to throw down 18 for the Flashes, who are now 12-5, but 2-2 in the MAC, and still winless in the conference on the road.
The Zips were overmatched as well, losing in Buffalo 82-70, despite 17 points from both Nikola Cvetinovic and Quincy Diggs. The loss was the Zips' first in the MAC, as they fall to 11-7 overall.
