A 15-year-old teen mom, who had been missing with her two-month-old daughter since Christmas Eve, turned herself into police Friday afternoon.
Shardae Cherry and the baby were located in the 12400 block of Locke Avenue on Cleveland's eastside and have been turned over to the Division Children and Family Services.
Cleveland Police put out an alert for the mom and daughter Friday morning.
Shardae Cherry and Vi' Aire Cherry were reported missing by Shardae's father James Cherry on Saturday, December 24, 2011. Both mother and child were due for their eight week medical checkups.
Cleveland Police learned of their missing status on Saturday, December 24, 2011, when Shardae's father notified police that she had left home after an argument and did not return. Numerous checks with friends and neighbors as well as area hospitals, parks and recreation centers have failed to turn up any signs of the duo.
