Twinsburg Paramedics deliver baby in back of Med Unit

TWINSBURG, OH (WOIO) - Twinsburg Fire Paramedics were dispatched at 4:36 AM Sunday morning for a pregnant woman having contractions.

The paramedics intended to transport to Hillcrest Hospital when the patient suddenly felt the urge to push. Due to the eminent delivery, the crew diverted to Cleveland Clinic Twinsburg Emergency Department.

Paramedic Alan Sibits and Paramedic Earl Wilson delivered a baby boy at 4:56 AM in the back of the Med Unit traveling down Hadden Road in Twinsburg Township.

Baby boy is 6 lbs. 13.2 oz with ten fingers and ten toes!

Mother and baby are doing well.
