Man accused of groping students at Cleveland State University questioned

CSU says they have identified the person who's been going around groping women. Officials say they've interviewed him and he has not been charged or arrested at this time.

CSU students, meantime, have been on edge after a second student was groped inside a school building.

Cleveland State University officials sent out a safety alert concerning the attack, which happened Monday around 10AM in the Science and Research Building.

Officials tell 19 Action News a female student was inappropriately touched by a stranger.

Another female student was groped inside the main classroom building on Wednesday, January 19th. That incident happened in a Northwest elevator.

CSU reminds all students to:

  • Stay alert and be aware of your surroundings
  • Walk with confidence and purpose
  • Use well-lit public walkways
  • Walk with a friend
  • Avoid texting or talking on the phone while traveling

And always, take advantage of CSU's 24/7 Safety Escort Service, especially at night. Call (216) 687-2020 to be escorted, or if you have any information concerning the attacks.
