Firefighters rescue worker dangling from three-story building

Firefighters rescue a man dangling from a three-story building on the city's west side.

It happened just after 10AM in the 700 block of Jefferson Avenue.

According to fire officials, two men were working on the building when one of the ropes holding up their bucket broke.

One of the men was able to get down with the help of a ladder someone inside the building put up against the wall.

The other man was rescued by the Cleveland Fire Department.

Terrified witnesses watched the drama unfold.

"He said help. I'm scared. I need help to get down," said witness Jessica Smith. "I said, I'm going to call 911. Stay still, 'cause they were shaking."

Some of the bricks of the building also fell onto the men.

Both were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
