18-year-old girl arrested in 19-year-old's shooting death

An 18-year-old girl accused in the deadly shooting of a 19-year-old man.

The shooting happened Wednesday morning at a house on Manor Avenue.

Police say Laquinta Phillips was with Darin Emery and two other people in the basement of a house.

Emery was showing off a handgun when Phillips asked to see it. Emery reportedly unloaded the gun, and handed it to Phillips. She apparently pulled the trigger, and hit Emery in the head. He had been sitting directly in front of her.

He died at Metro.

Phillips has not yet been charged.
