The Indians signed three players to minor league deals on Thursday, pitchers Dan Wheeler and Jose De La Torre and infielder Ryan Rohlinger.
Wheeler, 34, owns a career ERA of 3.88 and 43 saves over 577 appearances with Tampa Bay, New York Mets, Houston and Boston since debuting in 1999.
He spent the entire 2011 season with the Boston Red Sox, pitching in 47 games with a 4.38 ERA in 49.1 innings.
Jose De La Torre, 26, spent the 2011 season split between the GCL Mets, the Buffalo Bisons and the Brooklyn Cyclones of the New York-Penn League. He was a combined 2-2 with a 0.98 ERA in 22 games, including 5 starts.
Ryan Rohlinger, 28, spent the 2011 season as a member of the San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies organizations. He began the season with the Giants Triple-A affiliate, the Fresno Grizzlies, and appeared in 33 games with a .174 average with 5 homers and 16 RBI's.
Wheeler was invited to spring training, while De La Torre and Rohlinger were not.
