Charges filed against man accused of setting girlfriend on fire

The man accused of setting his girlfriend on fire following an argument has been indicted.

Kevin Ford, Jr. has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, aggravated arson, felonious assault, kidnapping, domestic violence and child endangering.

Ford, Jr. is accused of lighting 31-year-old Tiffany Lawson on fire. Lawson was holding her 18-month-old baby boy when Ford doused her with a flammable liquid.

Lawson screamed, and attracted the attention of her neighbors. She opened the window to her second floor Quincy apartment, and dropped the baby to the neighbors waiting below.

Ford is then accused of lighting Lawson on fire. It's believed she jumped out of the window to escape him.

The baby, 18-month-old Kevin Ford III, was treated and released from the hospital.

Lawson was also treated and released from the hospital.
