Irving misses Clippers game, Cavs rally without him
Irving misses Wednesday's game against the Clippers
Cleveland (WOIO) - The Cavaliers were without guard Kyrie Irving on Wednesday night against the Clippers, but rallied without their rookie star to stun L.A., 99-92 at Quicken Loans Arena.
Irving was a late scratch after being diagnosed with a concussion, suffering the injury Tuesday night in Miami when he was kneed in the head.
Ramon Sessions took Irving's spot in the starting line-up, and didn't disappoint, throwing down 24 points and dishing out 13 assists.
Antawn Jamison led the Cavs with 27 points, Daniel Gibson added 17 in his return, and Andy Varejao racked up another double-double, with 15 points and 11 rebounds, despite leaving the game in the third quarter with a lower back injury. Varejao did return in the fourth quarter.
