Cleveland State scored the first point of the game against Valparaiso, but it was all Crusaders after that as they scored the next 17 points to cruise to a 59-41 win.

Valpo's Ryan Broekhoff scored 24 points, going 6-9 from three-point land to lead all scorers.  Richie Edwards chipped in 20, hitting four three pointers.  On the night Valparaiso was 11-22 from beyond the arc.

Jeremy Montgomery scored 15 to lead the Vikings.

Cleveland State is now a half game out of first place in the Horizon League behind Valparaiso.  The Vikings would lose out on a tiebreaker to the Crusaders because Valpo swept the season series.

The Vikings will be back in action on Saturday morning at the Wolstein Center against Butler at 11:00 A.M.
