Two young children hurt after fire ripped through their Cleveland home late Monday night.
A seven-year-old girl and her two-year-old brother were rushed to the hospital after flames broke out in the 6700 block of Dunham Avenue around 10:40PM.
Six children - ranging in ages from 2 to 13 - were inside the home when the fire started. The eldest child smelled smoke and was able to get most of the kids out safely, but two of the children had to be rescued from the upstairs area by firefighters.
The little boy was rushed to Metro, and his sister was taken to Rainbow Babies. No word on conditions at this time.
Investigators say the fire started in some bags of clothes that were under the stairs. We're told it was caused by a 4 year-old child who lives in the house and was playing with matches.
Cleveland Fire tells 19 Action News three of the children were also treated for smoke inhalation.
The parents were not home when the fire started.
